G8 coverage
1. G8 meeting July 7th - 9th, 2008 at Hokaido, Japan.
2. Yuki presented the media issues:
- 5 Media activist from korea will be participating with 200 other fellow activist.
- Looking for more from around the world - Taiwan/Hong Kong is also been keen.
3. NGO activites will be held in Sapporo City, in Hokaido. The activities will be focused on the labour, poverty, environment & anti-globalization.
4. The meeting will be held at Windsor Hotel at the mountain of the Toyako lake, ... the location was chosen for security purpose.
5. The NGOs will be camping around the lake and the march will be held at the Sappora city itself.
6. Japanese social activities are very sectorial & small, so this gathering will prosper the network or relationship among each of the NGOs or activitst.
7. The G8 media network is actually a strong virtual network. There are several core media group exist:
- Citizan Media Centre (CMC) in Sapporo and in charge of the logistic and the whole works.
- Labour net - network HQ in Tokyo and other Tokyo based media groups are also part of this.

11. Logistics.
- A media bus dedicated for media activist is available as well.
After the session, the group also discussesd about the culture of rallies and protest around the world.
