Sanjay's annotator for Pad.ma
- requires Firefox w/ VLC plugin (get from http://videoland.org/vlc)
- is just an HTML file so you can download and use it locally
- works best with DV files
there are keyboard shortcuts for everything
while video is playing you can mark an in point add comments esc to take you out of the edit box use keyboard shortcut to mark out point
there are keyboard shortcuts to navigate forward and backward through the video
you can add links that work with pad.ma
it will be available on the share - please test out and give Sanjay feedback as to whether it would be useful as a subtitler - if so he will spend a few days updating the code for this purpose
Subtitle file format
subtitle files = srt file has a syntax timecode in to timecode out and then whatever is being said on a dvd, if you have an srt file, you can set up the menu to allow users to select which srt file they want to see (based on language)
