Two wifi APs

  • essid - TXAP1 - wep key is 00010203040506070809101112
  • essid - TXAP2 - same as above

Local LAN using ethernet, and you will get a internal private IP address in the range 192.168.3.x

The local internal DNS, DHCP, gateway address is 192.168.3.1

THIS IS PURE SPECULATION UNTIL I GO TO TANATIKA ON MAY 15th

The local media server box the GNU/Linux server will be available as http://tanatika.transmission.cc/ using some internal DNS magic

This will be running the local Plumi media site, the FTP server and Samba share.

The Samba share, aka the public network drive, is accessible by looking for 'EngageMedia' in your Networks, finding 'Dangdut' [1] as the server name, then looking for 'txap-share' as the drive name. You dont need a password - just leave it blank if it asks you to connect. This is the public drop box.

new info

Use an FTP client such as CuteFTP, FileZilla for Windows, Fetch for Mac to access share.transmission.cc:

  • HOST: tanakita.transmission.cc
  • INITIAL DIRECTORY: public/txap-share
  • USERNAME: anonymous
  • PASSWORD:

We have Handbrake [2] running on this machine for command line dvd ripping.
